Marvel ArtWorks announced exciting new releases from Alex Ross and John Romita Sr. and Jr!
From superstar ALEX ROSS, a dynamic, much-requested Captain America piece. In January, 2008, Marvel Comics introduced the world to a new Captain America in an epic storyline that featured this cover art — now available in a limited edition of 100.
In July, 1967, Stan Lee and John Romita, Sr. created the landmark story, “Spider-Man No More” in which Peter Parker tossed his Spider-Man suit aside and proclaimed, “Every boy must put away his toys…and become a man!” Here’s a gorgeous edition of the splash page from that issue.
In July, 2009, Stan Lee and Marvel Comics celebrated Spider-Man’s career with all-star issue #600 featuring numerous super-heroes and villains and this breathtaking wraparound cover by illustrator John Romita, Jr.

Stan Lee to sign at Every Picture Gallery
SAVE THE DATE! Sunday, November 7 at 3 PM, Marvel Comics creator STAN LEE will visit the Every Picture Tells A Story gallery in Santa Monica to sign all of the new Marvel ArtWorks –including new editions from Jack Kirby, Alex Ross and John Romita. It’s a great opportunity to meet one of the legends of comic book royalty and to see wonderful new art! Following the screening, Stan will introduce a screening of WITH GREAT POWER: THE STAN LEE STORY at 5 PM at the American Cinematheque’s Aero Theatre (across the street from the gallery). Alex Ross Comments on ‘Assemble’
USA Today called him “the Norman Rockwell of America’s heroes.” Now, Alex Ross offers these exclusive comments on ASSEMBLE, the new, never-before-seen, signed, limited edition print he has created for Marvel ArtWorks, the fine art licensee of Marvel Comics.
“’Assemble’ depicts the primal Avengers,” Alex Ross told Marvel ArtWorks. Included in the powerful painting are Black Panther, Hawkeye, Captain America, Iron Man, The Wasp, Thor, Scarlet Witch, The Vision and Goliath. According to Ross, a longtime fan and student of Marvel history, “There are a number of others that came through the ranks during the 1960s, but I would vote that in a boiled-down list, these mattered most.”
“Assemble” will be available in canvas and paper editions and measure a giant size 45 ¼ “ by 20.” There are only 100 in the canvas edition and 250 in paper — and the first 100 paper editions sold come with a bonus Alex Ross print. “Assemble” will debut at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International, July 22-25 and will be on display at the Marvel ArtWorks booth, #4713 and online at MarvelArtWorks.com. It will be available from your favorite Marvel ArtWorks dealer.
